Vale do Lobo is Portugal's biggest luxury golf and beach resort. The Tennis Academy is a two minute walk from the villa and apart from the fourteen tennis courts this  offers a top class Chinese restaurant, cafe, swimming pool and gymnasium.

The course that has combined existing holes from the original Vale do Lobo course and some special interesting new holes. The layout of the course is skilful with a mixture of challenges slowly building up to a finally on the eighteenth. The famous par-3 "seventh hole" from the old days is now the spectacular sixteenth on this new course. The closing eighteenth is a tricky hole on which to finish, with its narrow fairway and a deceptive green

This is the main reception area and golf club. Also located here is a cash withdrawal machine, car rental, hairdresser, shops and a bar and restaurant.

Located near the beach, this is the heart of Vale Do Lobo and has many bars and restaurants, shops, and a night club. This is a lively place, especially at night when live music is sometimes performed.

This is located near the entrance to Vale Do Lobo and stocks a wide range of provisions.  Alternatively, for those with a car, there are other supermarkets at Almancil,  Loule and Faro.

The Barrington's sport and leisure complex includes a 29 bay, two tier golf driving range, a very large, 18 hole, putting green and practice bunker/green. A gym, sauna, steam room, spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools etc.. Restaurants/bars and snack bars. Luxurious rest area. Snooker room/table tennis/squash. There are some excellent restaurants in the surrounding area. One which we can particularly recommend, is the Retiro Dos Idios, a four minute drive from Vale Do Lobo.  The Churrasqueira O Rebeiro at Almancil also offers excellent food at very reasonable prices. 

For more shopping you have the towns of Faro, Almancil, Loule and Quarteira which has a lively market.
